The finalists are now being judged in ten separate categories ahead of the prestigious conference and dinner. 

The Awards ceremony is taking place on the 18th May in between two days of influential and keynote speaker addresses which promise to share best practice and market-leading business insight.  The awards are determined on a global basis with specific criteria for each individual group.  The nominations are highly competitive such is the reputation of this industry leading event and the profile of those shortlisted.  The award categories are all applied for activities in the last twelve months rather than general excellence.

Francesco is an expert in retail and corporate transactional banking and his experience spans from regional banks in continental Europe to infrastructure/processors to major international institutions. 

Francesco publishes regularly and is an active speaker at industry events and international conferences.

 

Robert Courtneidge

Robert has close to 20 years’ experience in the cards and payment systems arena.  Robert is recognised as one of the top industry specialists in both commercial cards and the newly emerging e-money arena.  He advises leading financial institutions and technology providers and works closely with the compliance and industry bodies including the Financial Services Association (FSA) and HM Treasury to ensure all his clients’ activities are legal and compliant. Robert is co-founder of the Prepaid International Forum.

 

Will Cain


Will CainGroup editor, cards and payments, VRL Financial News

Will was appointed group editor for cards and payments in 2010 after two years editing VRL’s wealth management title, Private Banker International. Prior to taking the editorship, he was senior reporter on Retail Banker International and Cards International. Will is a regular speaker at financial events and roundtables. He chaired VRL’s Prepaid Summit in the Middle East and its Private Banker International Hong Kong Forum earlier this year. He is a qualified NCTJ journalist and also has experience in the national and local UK newspaper industry in news, business and sports journalism.

 

Victoria Conroy

Victoria stepped down as editor of Cards International (CI) in April this year, after five years at the helm. She continues to be active in the cards and payments industry as a freelance writer and is a contributing editor to both CI and Electronic Payments International. Prior to joining CI in 2005, Victoria held a series of press roles covering financial news. In September 2005 she was appointed deputy editor of Cards International, and in July 2007 she was appointed editor.

 

John Hill


John HillReporter, Cards International

John has been a reporter with Cards International for just over a year, during which time he also worked on Retail Banker International, Cards’ sister publication, covering the global retail banking market.

Before working at Cards International John was Commissioning Editor at The European Business review, a monthly publication covering a variety of subjects, focusing particularly on accounting and human resource management. John attended London College of Communication where he studied journalism, after studying Economics at Sheffield University.

 

David Parker

David has over 20 years’ experience in advertising with agencies including O&M, Saatchi & Saatchi, Bates and McCann Erickson, he has also been based internationally in both the Far East and Middle East. From advertising David moved into the world of Cards & Payments and Loyalty and in 2005 founded Polymath Consulting, of which he is still the CEO.Polymath Consulting assists clients across the complete cards and payments value chain from collections and risk through to development of card propositions, partner RFP management and market segmentation/entry.
