Africa Strategy
GTP has made the African marketplace a corporate, strategic growth initiative for 2011 and 2012. GTP has successfully piloted prepaid card programs in West Africa with strong banking partners to provide turnkey solutions for the local objectives. We are currently integrating in the West Africa region to bring our prepaid card programs to the entire marketplace. GTP was the first processor to bring the Visa "Classic" card to market and is now partnering with some of West Africa's very large networks to become the leader in prepaid and money remittance to lower the cost of moving money in the UEMOA region with network cards and closed loop cards.
GTP's cards can be loaded in any local currency with local issuing financial institutions. With the GTP currency conversion switch, we can connect with any issuer to move funds in various currencies around the African continent. GTP is looking for a "select" few African partners to create and become the leader in the African market in the prepaid category. GTP is a Visa certified processor in the CEMEA regions.
